Sir: Nobody in Pakistan needs reminding of the kind of danger the dengue virus poses to human beings. Despite having been controlled effectively in Punjab, it has affected the lives of many people this year in Lahore once again. If one falls prey to the dengue virus, then survival is not a sure thing. Hospitals are being inundated with patients because people are just not aware about the safety measures they should take. Seeing just how dangerous and fatal this disease can be, we all need to join hands to fight this menace and play a positive role in saving the lives of our brothers and sisters. I request the government to keep its resolve in battling dengue and to continue with the educational awareness drives it initiated in the past to beat back the dengue virus.
