Sir: During the course of the trial in the famous Mir Aamil Kansi case in a US court, which sentenced him to death, a US state attorney remarked, “These Pakistanis, they can sell their mothers for just a few American dollars.” In the past, President Pervez Musharraf said that rape was a “money-making concern” and many argued it was a way to get money and a visa to immigrate. Now, we have the case of the murder of Shahzeb Khan by Shahrukh Jatoi. This has been judged as a case of terrorism in which Shahzeb’s family have forgiven the murderers through a Rs 350 million deal in addition to immigration to Australia. With all this, we blame the west for how they look at us!
