LAHORE: There have been multiple reports in the past about the launch of the next model of Google’s flagship phone Pixel, and all of them remain unconfirmed. However, now we have a statement by one of the most popular tech reporters. In a tweet on Thursday, Evan Blass, previously known to the tech world by his twitter handle @evleaks, said that Pixel 2 will be launched by Google on October 5th. Google’s second-generation Pixel handsets, powered by Snapdragon 836 SoC’s, will be unveiled on October 5th. — Evan Blass (@evleaks) August 24, 2017 Pixel was acclaimed for its camera and the next model of the flagship phone is rumoured to have an even better camera. According to Evan, Pixel 2 will be powered by Snapdragron 836 which itself is said to be a tweaked version of the Snapdragon 835 chip. According to some rumours, the new smart phone will be available in two variants. Both of these variants will be of different sizes and will have different creators. HTC is said to be working on the smaller variant while LG is said to be working on the larger variant. Although there are various leaks regarding the design of Pixel 2, none of them have been confirmed.
