ISLAMABAD: A top adviser to the UN envoy for Syria, Michael Contet has said that the upcoming peace talks will be held keeping under consideration the United Nations Security Council resolution that calls for a political transition in the country.According to reports, According to reports, Contet informed media that UN envoy Staffan de Mistura is finalizing the arrangements for the talks between the government and the opposition of Syria. He added that the talks would commence on Thursday in Geneva. Contet noted that three issues facing Syria include credible, inclusive and non-sectarian governance, a new constitution and free and fair elections. He further said that these would be discussed during the talks.
