KARACHI: On its tour to Pakistan, the ICC Champions Trophy was unveiled at Karachi’s Edhi Home on Thursday. Star cricketer Shahid Afridi, who is also Pakistan’s Ambassador for the championship, unveiled the trophy along with the Edhi Family and the kids at the orphanage. The children at the centre were elated to see the trophy first hand and meet Afridi. The ICC trophy is on tour around the world and arrived in the metropolis on March 29. The trophy will also travel to the Mohatta Palace and the University of Karachi, where fans will get the chance to see the trophy. Speaking on the occasion, Afridi said that he will travel to England to watch the high-voltage Pakistan-India match. “I will definitely go there, Pak-India match is always interesting to watch.” The ICC Champions Trophy started its journey on March 21st from Dubai. Since then the trophy has been travelling to various cities around the world. Karachi is the seventh city, and it will then heads to Johannesburg South Africa, before reaching England.
