LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) annual general meeting (AGM) met on Thursday in Lahore, where a unanimous resolution was passed to elect Najam Sethi as the cricket board’s new chairman after Shaharyar Khan’s tenure comes to an end in August. A spokesman stated that the AGM also adopted a resolution to recommend Sethi for the Pride of Performance Award for his services and the flawless organisation of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). The Meeting was presided over by PCB Chairman Shaharyar Khan, while PCB Executive Committee chairman Najam Sethi, COO Subhan Ahmad, Chief Finance Officer Badar Manzoor and other senior officials of the PCB were also present on the occasion. During the meeting, Shaharyar Khan also briefed the general body members about the board’s progress and milestones during the last year, and he appreciated the efforts done for the return of international cricket to Pakistan and for organising the PSL final in Lahore.
