COVENTRY, United Kingdom: Wallabies international Kirtley Beale joined his new club Wasps on Wednesday and said that he was ready for a new challenge while struggling to shake off a lingering injury. The Australian joined the English team after spending 10 years at Australian Super Rugby side Waratahs. “I’m very happy that I’m here now, and ready to work hard and rip into my rehab to get back as fit as possible for the Wasps,” said Beale. The 27-year-old sustained a torn patella tendon in his left knee in May and could be out for at least another two months. He said he had plenty to offer Wasps once his injury worries were over. “I’ve always based my game around the X factor,” he said. “I try and create opportunities for my team mates around me. Obviously it will be a bit more challenging bringing in a different style and whether that comes with my play, but I think that’s all part of the challenge.”
