LAHORE: The Government of Punjab has set up a committee in order to ensure security for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) final to be held in Lahore. As per media reports, the committee has been tasked with providing foolproof security for national and international players as well as the general public. The committee comprises of members of Interior Ministry, police and law enforcement agencies and provincial ministers, who will advise the chief minister after taking a complete review of the security plan. It is pertinent to mention here that Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa has already declared that the PSL final will take place in Lahore as per the original plan. Furthermore, the Army Chief has issued directives of completing all PSL-related arrangements and assured that his troops will remain available to assist police and other security organisations in this regard.
