SKOPJE: Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale confirmed his commitment to the club on Wednesday saying that he remains focused on winning major accolades in Spain. Bale, who was named in the starting line-up against Manchester United in UEFA Super Cup on Tuesday, has been linked to a move away from the Bernabeu, with Mourinho’s team being his greatest admirers. Talking to the media, Bale said that he plans on a lengthy career at Madrid, aims to continue on winning trophies and focus on football. “I’m concentrating on my football, I’m concentrating on getting my fitness up, I’m happy I’m playing football, I’m winning trophies, so yeah, I don’t want to move. There’s not really much more I can say,” said Bale. When asked about AS Monaco forward Kylian Mbappe’s potential move to Spain’s capital, Bale said that he would welcome the young superstar and does not mind fighting for the first team spot. “I feel like I’m happy to fight for my place. We’re all fighting for our places anyway. It’s nothing new in football, it happens at every club, you just carry on like normal,” he added. The Welshman also lauded United boss Jose Mourinho, but said he has no plans of a move to Old Trafford despite the Portuguese tactician’s keen interest in him. “Mourinho is a great manager. He’s done everything in football, he knows what he’s doing and I’m sure he’s building a great team for what he hopes to achieve there.” Said the 28-year-old.
