LAHORE: Najam Sethi has been chosen to head the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in a meeting for the next three years. The Board of Governors (BOG) of the PCB held a meeting on Wednesday for the selection of a new chief for the governing board. It is pertinent to mention here that no other candidate had filed his/her nominations papers for the selection process. Sethi is credited with holding the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and its final in Lahore successfully, and would be taking over from the retiring Shahryar Khan who is leaving the post due to health and personal reasons. Najam Sethi is a prominent journalist and has also served as caretaker chief minister for the province of Punjab.
