PARIS: Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) midfielder Javier Pastore has said on Sunday that the club will facilitate new signing Neymar to become the world’s best player. The 25-year-old , who has been regarded as the natural successor to Barcelona’s Lionel Messi and Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo, said earlier that winning the best player award is a dream for him and team-mate Pastore said PSG will help Neymar achieve that dream. “He’s one of the best players in the world. He’s a decisive player, who scores goals. The whole team are going to help him become the best player in the world,” He said. Talking to reporters after PSG’s 2-0 triumph over Amiens in Ligue 1 opening fixture, Pastore added that gifting his jersey number (10) to the Brazilian was an easy decision to make for the Argentine, since Neymar truely represents the figure. “No, actually it was very easy (to give up No. 10),” Pastore said. “I’d been asked for five days, by the directors, and (PSG sporting director) Antero Henrique. I know he likes No. 10, and it’s important for the club to have a No. 10 like Neymar because of what he represents.” Said Pastore. Neymar did not feature in the French club’s opening league fixture but is expected to kick-start his PSG career in the coming weekend.
