KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah directed the city administration to be vigilant and active to keep the city clean. The rain water accumulated in the low-lying areas must be pumped out as soon as the rain is stopped, said a statement on Saturday. The chief minister directed energy secretary to coordinate with K-Electric authorities and urge them to mobilise their maintenance staff to keep their feeders on. “This is unfortunate that with the start of light rain most of the areas have plunged into darkness,” he said. The CM urged KE to restore electricity where it has failed. The Sindh CM expressed his delight to see huge crowds of people on the sea view. “I am quite happy that people are enjoying good weather with their families free from fear,” he said.
