Sources in the directorate of primary education disclosed to Daily Times that the education department has decided to promote High Schools Teachers (HST) from grade 18 to 20 according to their seniority. Therefore majority of HSTs have shown no interest to take the charge of Headmasters and School management responsibilities. Moreover the Headmasters in grade 17, will be appointed through Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) exam this year, he added The source further said that the appointment of junior Headmasters will lead the Department of Schools Education to complicated issues because how could a grade 19 HST work under the supervision of junior grade Headmaster. That is why the Policy of Education Department is a hurdle in the appointment on vacant posts in Schools around the city.
