KARACHI: Sindh CM Syed Qaim Ali Shah has said that PPP leadership has decided to induct a new chief minister in his place. “I bow down before the decision of the party. It must have taken right decision,” he said. He said this while talking to media just after inaugurating Lincoln Corner at Liaquat Memorial Library established by US Consulate, on Tuesday. Brushing aside the impression of rift in the party ranks, he said, “We all are PPP. We are like family members and we all are on the same page. There is no rift, no differences and no heart burning,” he said. The Sindh CM said the new chief minister would complete the work he was leaving behind. The development portfolio of the metropolis is quite impressive and with the completion of development works in the city, Karachi would give a beautiful look and we are also doing best for rest of the Sindh province,” he said. Sindh CM said that he has served the people of this province with heart and soul. “I tried my best to serve my people selflessly. It always remained my utmost effort to provide maximum job opportunities to the youth of this province,” he added. The chief minister said the people of this province have to assess my services because they are the best judges adding that the new chief minister would also work hard for the people of this province. This was the legacy of Late Zulfikar Bhutto and Late Benazir Bhutto and the new chief minister would follow it as he did, he added. Later, Sindh CM Qaim Ali Shah went to the residence of Izharul Hassan, the leader of opposition in Sindh Assembly, and offered condolence over the death of his father. Earlier, Senior Minister for Finance, Syed Murad Ali Shah, called on Sindh CM Qaim Ali Shah and discussed issues of mutual interest, including governance, development schemes, law and order including other provincial matters. Syed Murad Ali Shah lauded the services of Syed Qaim Ali Shah for party, people and the government. Similarly, people from all walks of life, including MPAs, provincial ministers and notable called on Sindh chief minister and lauded his services for the populace of Sindh. Meanwhile, Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah after announcement and his return from Dubai has started shifting personal belongings to his private bungalow in Defence Housing Authority (DHA), Karachi, as Pakistan People’s Party’s meeting on late Tuesday under the chairmanship of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari announced of new chief minister for the province. The meeting of parliamentary party of the PPP Sindh approved the name of Murad Ali Shah as new chief minister of the province. The meeting would further discuss about the members of new cabinet and their portfolios.
