SHIKARPUR: Deputy commissioner Ghotki Sayed Aijaz Ali Shah has said that an FIR will be lodged against students and teachers who are involved in cheating in examinations. While presiding over a meeting at Council Hall Mirpur Mathelo on Thursday, he said that rangers and police will be deployed at sensitive examination centers so as to prevent unlawful cheating in order to for the better development of our country as well as to secure the future of our youth. The meeting was attended by Commander 70 Wing Shahbaz, Rangers Khan Gharh, Colonel Muneeb, SSP Ghotki Masood Banghash, Secretary BISE Sukkur, Amanullah Ansari, Additional Commissioner Ghotki Saleemullah Odho, All Assistant Commissioners, Taluka Mukhtiarkars, Headmasters, School Principals, and Education Officers of District Ghotki among others. Addressing the meeting, the DC asserted that that any degree obtained through cheating in exams is without foundation and teachers should a launch movement again ‘copy culture’. He warned that a FIR would be lodged on behalf of the state against those teachers, students, or any people found cheating in examinations. He affirmed that no unnecessary people will be allowed in the centers and no mobile phones, or books will be allowed in the centers either. The Deputy Commissioner also urged private schools to install CCTV cameras, construct walls for their schools and appoint security guards within three weeks or else they will be sealed. Secretary BISE Sukkur Amanullah Ansari informed the meeting that 32 centers have been established in District Ghotki for the metric examination.
