SUKKUR: Chairman District Ghotki Haji Khan Mahar on Wednesday inaugurated the newly constructed Water Supply and Drainage Scheme at Rati town in Ubauro taluka. While addressing the inaugural ceremony, Haji Khan Mahar asserted that the demand of the people of Rati town of receiving sweet potable water was met. Through this scheme a population of 12000 will benefit. Mahar said that the present government was providing basic facilities to the people at their doorsteps. He alleged that on the occasion some political opponents were trying to subvert the democratic system but asserted that they will not succeed at any cost. He announced that a link road from Dahrki to Rati town would be constructed and a gas supply will be provided to the town at earliest. During the inaugural ceremony, Mahar was flanked by Dahri town chairman Munir Ahmed Mahar, Additional Deputy Commissioner I Saleemullah Odho, Qazi Irshad Ahmed, Engineer and representative of UNICEF Abdul Rauf Kolachi, SDO Public Health Engineering Hamat Ali Shar, Social Welfare Officer Khair Muhammad Kalwar, and others.
