KARACHI: The Jinnah postgraduate medical Centre’s (JPMC) Ophthalmology Department head informed the Accountability Court on Saturday that Dr Asim Hussain, Pakistan People’s Party Karachi President and close aide of former president Asif Zardari, was suffering from eye disorder. In the report JPMC’s ophthalmology department head submitted that Dr Asim was brought on the 15th March with complaints of seeing a floater in his left yet. In this regard a medical report was presented before the court. The hearing of the case put off due to the absence of the judge; however, the report was submitted. Earlier, the National Accountability Court (NAB) had filed two separate references against the PPP leader. According to the investigators, Dr Asim, while misusing his powers as, illegally curtailed gas to agriculture sector to benefit a particular group associated with the fertilizer industry.
