SHIKARPUR: Eight farmers received injuries as two groups exchanged fire over the ownership of agricultural land in the limits of Mian-jo-Goth Police Station. The police said that Basar Jatoi and Raja Qulub Ali Pathan groups had been fighting against each other for some months. They exchanged harsh words on Sunday and then they opened fire on each other. Each party had four injured farmers. Four injured farmers belonging to Raja Qulub Ali Khan identified as Habibullah, Muhammad Eidan, Ghulam Murtaza and Naseer Ahmed, while four farmers belonging to Basar Jatoi group identified as Arbab Ali, Rustam Ali, Nizamuddin and Barkat. The area police rushed to the spot and controlled the situation. The injured were taken to nearby hospital for medical treatment and case was not registered till this story was filed.
