KHAIRPUR: An Extension Lecture on Quality Education was jointly organized by the Departments of Media Studies and Pakistan Studies at Shah Abdul Latif University in Khairpur on Friday. Prof. Dr. C. J. Dubash, Vice Rector, F.C College, Lahore delivered the lecture. Prof. Dr. C. J. Dubash said students must not make lame excuses and must make themselves discover new innovations and ideas in the pursuit of quality education. He remarked that we can remove all excuses by developing the sense of cooperation, integrity, cohesion and atmosphere of harmony. We are moving ahead to a virtual world of learning and education and we have to be equipped with new principles, trends, techniques and methods of learning. He suggested faculty members adopt the ever-growing principle of teaching rather than traditional learning. Today, the process of transferring knowledge and information from teacher to students has been changed, we must promote critical, systematic, rational and logical activities not only in the classroom but outside it as well. Dubash termed the discipline of Media Studies and Pakistan Studies as the catalysts of the social sciences. A large number of faculty members and students from both Departments attended the lecture.
