KARACHI: Inspector General Sindh police Allah Dino Khawaja inaugurated on Friday first Police Reporting Center of District Central in a bid to “end the thana-culture and extend the positive results of reforms to people.” Speaking to the inauguration ceremony, IG Khawaja said that these reporting centers are being established across the city at police station levels from where people could get lodge their FIRs, get verification or character certificates, and get resolve of their family or other issues. The police chief said that his vision is to diminish the gap between police and people and to bring them on same page. “It is inevitable that police and people work together to sustain the goals in the war on terror and ensure a lasting peace.” Meanwhile, DIG West Zulfiqar Larik said that the police moral has risen with the impartial measures taken by IG Sindh across the province to mend things which were in limbo previously, affecting the personnel efficiency.
