SUKKUR: A large number of residents of various localities of the city held protest demonstration against municipality authorities on Saturday. The demonstrators said that streets and roads inundated with sewerage water adding that ‘People wade through muck to reach mosques to offer prayers in the holy month of Ramazan”. Despite several complaints to the authorities about accumulation of sewerage water in streets and on roads no action has been taken, they added. Farooq Ahmed Shar, leader of the demonstrators, demanded of the Deputy Commissioner to take notice of their genuine issue and solve it.
