KARACHI: The 6th International CSR Summit and Awards will be held on January 26 2017 with around 50 corporate companies expected to be honoured with CSR awards according to Mehmood Tareen, chief of The Professionals Network (TPN). The event is being held in collaboration with the School of Leadership, Indus Hospital, Afzaal Memorial Thalassemia Foundation (AMTF), Pakistan Red Crescent and many other relevant organizations. Tareen and CSR Executive Director AMTF, Ateeq-ur-Rehman, stated that leading corporate CEO’s, government officials, Consulate Generals, CSR experts and renowned philanthropists would address the large gathering of 300 corporate individuals. There will be presentations, showcasing of CSR activities, networking, media talk and a grand award ceremony will be discussed. The event objective is to provide an innovative platform for interaction and networking, while creating awareness about CSR among the conference delegates and award participants. The experts will discuss emerging concepts and issues related to CSR in Pakistan and provide remedies based on practical approaches and implementation techniques, said Tareen. TPN has planned to stage an exclusive ‘CSR Gallery’ on the occasion comprising of 24 stalls. Corporate companies and NGO’s will showcase their exemplary CSR activities and initiatives (local or international) for the promotion of CSR in Pakistan. The concluding session of the event will be chaired by the President of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry. This CSR event is the first and only IP registered CSR event of Pakistan and has copy right protection, added Tareen.
