KARACHI: Special Assistant to Sindh Chief Minister on Minority Affairs Dr. Khatu Mal Jeevan has announced that the Shaheed Banazir Bhutto Scholarship for students belonging to the minority community would be launched soon. These scholarships would be awarded on merit-cum-poverty basis to the students enrolled in public sector universities, colleges and schools. This he said while taking to a delegation of minority students belonging to the different educational institutions that called on him at his office on Sunday. In the first phase, Dr. Khatu Mal Jeewan advised students of public sector universities to submitted their scholarship forms through their varsities as early as possible at the Minority Department office located at the Sindh Secretariat 4-A, Block-12. Dr Jeewan said that the PPP-led government had tried to take all possible measures to provide education opportunities to the talented needy students. He said that it was a priority of the government to provide quality education to all the students irrespective of their religion and cast.
