HYDERABAD: Senior workers and ex-office bearers of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Hyderabad have opposed nomination of Dr. Irfan Gul Magsi as District President. Addressing a press conference here, former office bearers, Ghulam Rasool Kalhoro, Yameen Soomro and others said, nine months ago, Chairman of PPP Bilawal Bhutto had dissolved all provincial, district and tehsil bodies of the party forming five member Committees for Sindh. However, Irfan Magsi is claiming that he has been appointed as Hyderabad District President of the PPP by the party Chairman, they added. They accused that Magsi had contested elections against PPP candidates from Tando Muhammad Khan. They also warned that the public meeting scheduled for 15 January in Latifabad to be addressed by Bilawal Bhutto, fails they would not be responsible for the same because they would not attend it as this public meeting was being arranged by Irfan Magsi.
