KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) has decided not to confront its predecessor ‘MQM-London’ and maintain a silence over its upcoming rally and public gathering on January 21, this year. This was decided by the MQM-Pakistan parliamentary party meeting here on Wednesday. The meeting was held to discuss the issue keeping in view the city’s situation and possibilities of any political change. MQM-Pakistan also decided not to confront its former mother party (MQM-London) and maintain a silence over its rally and public gathering on January 21. MQM-Pakistan will opt for the policy of wait and see, and asked its workers to maintain restrain on the event. The meeting also decided that all members of provincial and national assemblies will strictly remain silent, and even not comment on the event and keep in close contact with each other. It may be mentioned that MQM-London’s convener Nadeem Nusrat and Chairman of Pakistan Qaumi Movement (PQM) Iqbal Kazmi jointly announced for a rally and public gathering on January 21.
