KARACHI: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh AD Khowaja on Friday ordered police to ensure high level security for 196th Urs of Sufi saint Hazrat Sachal Sarmast beginning from Saturday, 10 June 2017. According to Sindh police’s spokesperson, Khowaja directed then to launch technical sweeping surrounding the tomb and interior premises. He also ordered them to ensure advanced intelligence collection and conduct physical checking with walkthrough gates. He also ordered them to conduct daily snap checking and patrolling on national highways. All SSPs and DSPs of Sukkur Police Range should contact with relevant SHOs and provide them every help for security of the Urs, the IGP said.
