HYDERABAD: At least two dozens of MQM London’s activists were arrested, as a large number of workers converged to offer Fateha for the martyrs of Pucca Qila on the occasion of Youm-e-Shuhda, being observed in various areas of Hyderabad. The workers hoisted MQM London’s flag and chanted slogans in favor of party’s chief. Police put a security layer to block their way to Shuhda graveyard, inside Pucca Qila. However, few women workers were allowed to enter the area and to offer Fateha for their slain activists. But the situation took an ugly turn, when male workers were prevented by the law enforcers from entering the graveyard. Police resorted to lathi charge, teargas shelling and firing in the air to disperse the activists.
