KARACHI: Law enforcement agencies and police on Sunday morning have arrested All Pakistan Shia Action Committee chief Allama Mirza Yusuf Husain from his residence at Nazimabad.

Later, Rangers also arrested another religious leader Taj Hanfi from Nagin Chowrangi area. The police have also detained several people from different areas after recent targeted killings in the city.

"Faisal Raza Abidi was taken into custody in connection with the killing of two men of Tableeghi Jamaat in Patel Para on Friday," Jamshed Quarters SP Tahir Noorani told Daily Times, adding that Abidi was arrested for his alleged involvement in the double murder case.

The spokesperson of police claimed that Abidi is being investigated for some previous cases of sectarian killings.
