KHAIRPUR: A Review Meeting of the Strengthening of Academic Facilities (SAF) Project,funded by the Higher Education Commission was held at Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur presided over by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr.Parveen Shah on Tuesday. Speaking to the participants at the meeting, Prof. Dr. Parveen Shah stated that this project will be fruitful for providing academic facilities to the students and teachers of University and state of art buildings will be constructed as per master plans. The VC directed all stakeholders to complete their construction work as per the stipulated time along with quality work and speedy progress. There will be no compromise on quality construction. Proper monitoring and an evaluation system will be observed in this project. The Vice Chancellor directed the Consultants and the representatives of Construction Firms that no extension will be given in this project and they must follow the time frame strictly. Engr.Ghulam Asghar Shaikh, Project Coordinator SAF, briefed the meeting regarding the projects and assured the Vice Chancellor that the work will be monitored in collaboration with HEC, Islamabad in order to maintain the quality of construction work and maintain transparency. He saidthe PC-I cost of this project is Rs. 655.921 Million and briefed the house that the work of the academic block, main gate, and hostel of 200 boys is underway and the project will be completed within the given time.
