KARACHI: The Adviser to Sindh Chief Minister on Information, Maula Bux Chandio in his message on International Women Day said, “He wants to see the press more powerful and independent so that freedom of expression can highlight positive and negative aspects of the society. In his message, the adviser said, “I must say Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and the government of Sindh are aware of the difficulties being faced by the journalists and we are trying to solve their problems, so that in true sense journalism can be restored in the country”. He said that the rendered services of print and electronic media in the country are very symbolic of freedom. He said the journalists are working in bad circumstances and they are performing their duties very well adding that the masses are enjoying and facilitating the excess of information. The CM adviser said that the struggle of Pakistan People’s Party for freedom of journalists is a open secret and the government of Sindh pays tribute to journalists those embrace martyrdom by facilitating the people but never avoid to perform their duties. He said that the government and media persons are on same page and this coordination is established forever.
