KARACHI: Sindh Assembly lawmaker and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Dr Seema Zia said on Wednesday that Ayesha Gulalai was used by the opponents for political benefits as they have failed to prove their innocence in the court. Addressing a press conference in the response of allegations levelled by Gulalai, Seema said that the opponents have failed to get themselves absolved from corruption cases and they have resorted to cheap tactics to defame PTI and its leader. The party has given her respect and honor by making her member of National Assembly, Seema said, adding, “If she had objections with party leader then she must have resigned from the membership of National Assembly.” “We are putting resolution against her in the Sindh Assembly and demand her to resign from the party membership forthwith,” she added. Zunaira Malik, Saima Nadeem, Adeeba Arif Hassan, Erum Butt, Nusrat Wahid, Misbah Khalid and other women leaders were also present. Published in Daily Times, August 3nd 2017.
