LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League (PML) senior central leader and former deputy prime minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has said that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is not just the enemy of Pakistan and Kashmir but also of peace. India’s unprovoked firing along the Line of Control comes out of frustration after losing grip on Kashmir, said Pervaiz while talking to media at his house on Thursday. He said the Pakistan Army is fully capable of defending the motherland. The Pakistan Army, he said, is always ready to give a befitting response to any aggressor. He said retaliation by the Pakistan Army was appreciable. “The Modi government cannot frighten Pakistan by such actions and gimmicks. Our armed forces are giving appropriate reply to the actions of the Indian government and forces,” he added. He criticised Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and the Foreign Office for what he said did not highlight Indian interference in Pakistan effectively. He said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and the Foreign Office should start showing these proofs to the world. Earlier on Thursday, India forces resorted to unprovoked firing along the Line of Control. Two Pakistan soldiers embraced martyrdom as the result of the Indian firing.
