LAHORE: Punjab University has declared the results of BA/BSc Annual Examination 2016 in which girls clinched all top positions in BSc, while only one boy could secure a position in BA examination. The ceremony regarding prize distribution among position holders and awareness campaign regarding the Punjab Educational Endowment Fund would be held on Tuesday at Al-Raazi Hall. Punjab Educational Endowment Fund Vice Chairman Dr Muhammad Amjad Saqib would be the chief guest while Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran would be the guest of honour on the occasion. According to the PU results, top three positions were clinched by the girls in Bachelor of Science’s examination. Huma, roll number 15881, got first position by obtaining 702 marks out of 800. Zara Nasir, roll number 10473, stood second by securing 699 marks and while Maryam Saba, roll number 23441, stood third by securing 697 marks. In BA, the first position was clinched by a boy while 2nd and 3rd positions were obtained by the girls. Mansoor Ali, roll number 83713, got first position in BA by securing 665 marks, while Faryal Shahbaz, roll number 48658, stood second by securing 660 marks and Attiqa, roll number 80127, stood third and obtained 655 marks. A total of 118,029 candidates appeared in the examination, out of which only 44,450 candidates passed the exams. The pass out percentage for this year stood at 37.66 percent.
