LAHORE: The Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) has removed four employees over violating departmental rules and alleged corruption charges. According to details, two senior officers of the LWMC’s Procurement and Contracts Department were fired on Saturday. They officials have been fired on the directives of LWMC Managing Director (MD) Bilal Mustafa Syed after an inquiry committee found them guilty of violating departmental rules and regulations. The inquiry committee was constituted by the LWMC management. An assistant manager from the same department has also been served a warning. Earlier on Thursday, two fee collectors – Shakeel Ahmed and Muhammad Shehbaz – were suspended the LMWC managing director after a human resource committed found them involved in taking bribe from a citizen. A spokesman for the LWMC said that those employees who would not abide by the company’s rules and regulations deserve no leniency and tolerance. “Such cases of criminal dishonesty and negligence are beyond tolerance and demand strict action against them,” he added.
