LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Jahangir Khan Tareen on Wednesday moved a petition before the Lahore High Court (LHC) seeking disqualification of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for his family members’ alleged involvement in offshore businesses. The counsel for the petitioner stated that Panama leaks had revealed massive corruption by the ruling family, adding that they had also been accused of money laundering. He stated that even the foreign media had been calling the incumbent premier the most corrupt PM of the country. He stated that the PM had no ground to hold a public office after the Panama allegations, as “he did not meet” the requirements stated in articles 62 and 63 of the constitution.
