LAHORE: Adviser to Chief Minister on Health, Khawaja Salman Rafiq has said that secretaries of departments concerned should ensure their participation in the meetings of Cabinet Committee on Dengue for making the performance more effective. Presiding over a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Dengue here on Thursday, the adviser observed that officers of town emergency response committees seldom attend the meetings, which directly affect the performance of the subordinate staff. Besides, elected representatives, Primary and Secondary Health Secretary Ali Jan Khan, Irrigation Secretary Saif Anjum, Health Director General Health Dr Mukhtar Hussain Syed, additional secretaries, Lahore DCO Captain (r) Muhammad Usman and the officers of Punjab Information Technology and Meteorological Department attended the meeting. The Lahore DCO informed the committee that dengue situation in the DHA was better than before. Kh Salman Rafiq directed all the departments to continue anti-dengue activities till the end of dengue season.
