LAHORE: Participation of large number of people in the Rahmatul-Lil-Alameen (SAWW) conferences shows the trust of people in the vision of Pakistan Ulema Council. Pakistan Ulema Council Central Chairman Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi said this while addressing a press conference here on Saturday. He said that PUC was playing its effective role for eliminating terrorism, extremism, sectarian violence and attitudes of intolerance. He said that visit of Indian Prime Minister depicts the acceptance of efforts which Pakistan made in the region for establishing peace. Tahir Ashrafi said that PUC was struggling for promoting real message of Islam adding that Muslim scholars have always condemned the terrorism and extremism. He said that no single bullet was found during the search operations carried out in Madaris through out the country which he added proves the peaceful environment of Madaris. Dialogues with provincial and federal governments have succeeded on matters related to Madaris, he added. “PUC always welcome dialogue between Pakistan and India besides the efforts for promoting peace in the region,” Ashrafi added.
