GUJRANWALA: People are facing problems in obtaining computerized national identity cards, Daily Times learnt on Tuesday. Long queues can be seen outside the National Database and Registration Authority offices. People said that there are no separate seating arrangements for women visiting the offices. Customers have to face inconvenience due to delay in issuance of cards. Citizens alleged that Nadra’s executive centres where the CNICs are issued through a fast-track system after charging Rs1,500 have failed to bring relief to the customers. NADRA Head Usman Butt said, “We are trying our best to facilitate the visitors while misbehaviour of the Nadra staff would not be tolerated at any cost.”
