LAHORE: The Lahore High Court Complaint Cell took notice of a press report regarding the murder of an advocate for pursuing cases.
The LHC directed the Okara district and sessions judge to look into the matter and submit a detailed report within a week regarding steps taken by the police along with his own comments.
According to details, lawyer Siddique Wattoo, a resident of Baseerpur, was going to the LHC along with his driver Muhammad Ahmad when accused Khalid Fareed, Amir, Abdullah, Afzal, Zaman and three unidentified people stopped them near rice mills and opened fire. Siddique died on the spot while Ahmad received serious injuries. The police have registered the case and started investigation.
