LAHORE: The Punjab Food Authority Monday launched a crackdown on cafeterias selling substandard food at the education institutes and imposed fine on them for violating food laws. According to details, Lahore College Women University was imposed a fine of Rs 18,000, Lahore Medical and Dental College Rs 12,000, Ghurki Hospital Rs 19,000, Post Graduate Girls College Rs 5,000, Govt Pilot Secondary School Wahdat Colony Rs 1,000, UET Quaid-e-Azam hostel Cafeteria-4 Rs 2,500, Shuhda APS Model Town Rs 2,500 and Government Degree College for Women Rs 4,500. The crackdown was conducted on the directives of the (PFA) DG Noorul Amin Mengel.
