LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore has arrested eight officials of the Public Works Department’s (PWD) from different areas of city for allegedly embezzling funds worth millions of rupees. Those arrested include Sub-divisional Officer Khursheed Ahmed, Executive Engineer Humera Khurram, Sub-engineer Naimat Ali, Sub-engineer Abdul Razzaq, Sarwar Bhatti, Muhammad Ishfaq, Muhammad Amin and Syed Shafqat Hussain Earlier, the National Accountability Bureau had initiated an inquiry against the officials after receiving complaints against the Public Works Department’s officials. The National Accountability Bureau would produce all the accused before an accountability court today (Tuesday) to seek their physical remand.
