LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Secretary General Liaqat Baloch has urged Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to solve the problems of young doctors and also remove the hardships being faced by patients at the government hospitals. He was talking to a delegation of the Young Doctors Association (YDA) on Saturday. The delegation claimed that emergency services at all government hospitals were working as usual. They said that the government was not fulfilling its promises regarding the service structure, time scale promotions and appointments. They said that the government hospitals were short of beds, medicines and other basic facilities due to which doctors were unable to serve the patients properly. Meanwhile, talking to a delegation of JI youth, Liaqat Baloch urged all democratic forces to unite for elimination of electoral corruption. Liaqat Baloch said that the intra-party elections of the JI (Youth) on August 20 would prove to be a milestone for the youth of the country. Published in Daily Times, August 6th 2017.
