ISLAMABAD: Nizam-e-Mustafa Party founder Hanif Tayyab said on Wednesday that the government deceived the Kashmiris by declaring Indian Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi a state guest. He was addressing a conference titled Why the World is Silent Over Indian Atrocities in Kashmir? Tayyab said India does not want prosperity in the region, adding that it does not enjoy good relations with its neighbours. He said that the Kashmiris have been deprived of their self determination due to the government’s failed foreign policy. He urged Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to highlight the Kashmir issue at every International platform. He said his party would start a movement for the independence of Kashmiris, adding that the party would hold conferences, seminars and conventions across the country in this regard. Pir Naqeebur Rehman said the solution of Kashmir issue is imperative for the durable peace and stability in the region so the international community should take notice of the Indian atrocities in India-held Kashmir (IHK). Azad Kashmir Member Legislative Assembly Syed Muhammad Ali Raza Bukhari said Pakistan would support the Kashmiris until the issue is resolved. He said the Indian PM should be declared “international terrorist”. Brigadier (r) Akhtar Janjua said, “If we want to fight India then we should boycott Indian movies and dramas.” Islamabad High Court Bar President Tariq Jehangir said the lawyers stand with the Kashmiris at every forum against Indian atrocities in IHK. Cleric Gulzar Ahmad Naeemi said the Muslim world is deprived of leadership, adding that the United Arab Emirates is raising voice for India. Jamia Islamabad Principal Dr Zafar Iqbal Jalali said the nation stands with their army and the day is not far when the Kashmiris would get freedom. Former Anjuman Talba-e-Islam nazim Abdul Naveed Haideri said the National’s Assembly’s Kashmir Committee should be reorganised.
