KARACHI: The verdict taken by the Supreme Court would be considered an ill decision in the pages of history, said the president of Pakistan National Party, Mir Hasil Khan Bizenjo at Karachi Press Club on Saturday. Addressing a press conference, Bizenjo said, “We all accept and respect the law and have accepted the decision of the Supreme Court but the crackdown against an individual or targeting a single party is miscarriage of justice. More than 60 percent people, including the politicians, businessmen and journalists possess iqama, but no action has been taken against them.” Expressing his grievances, he said people had high hopes for better decision but the decision has filled depression in the hearts of people of the country. “The Supreme Court is sending this case to those who themselves are involved in corruption.” The chairman of National Accountability Bureau himself was involved in corruption. “Whether our government sustains or not, we shall continue working for the strengthening of democracy in the country.” The assembly would not be dissolved until the 2018 elections. It would complete its constitutional tenure for the second time since the birth of Pakistan. To a question, he said that Pak-China relations would not be disturbed by the decision of the Supreme Court. The interim prime minister will be nominated for only 45 days to complete the tenure of the government. “Shahbaz Sharif will be our next Prime Minister in 2018 elections.” Published in Daily Times, July 30th , 2017.
