ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) on Tuesday issued a notice to the management of Jaag TV for dismissing its reporter without following the legal procedure. The PEMRA has asked the Jaag TV to file a reply by September 6. The notice said that one reporter of the channel Muhamamd Naeem has complained that he was intimidated and forced to tender his resignation which was against the law. The notice said that under PEMRA Act 2002 amended in 2007 section 26 (3-A), the PEMRA can summon any of its license holders in issues related to operational matters especially if job of a person in question. The Jaag TV management has been given six day to file a reply, otherwise one-sided action will be taken against the management.
