QUETTA: Four personnel of Frontier Corps (FC) were killed and three others injured in the Balochistan provincial capital on Wednesday. Two terrorists, riding a motorcycle ambushed the FC personnel, killing four and wounding two others, including a passerby on Quetta’s Double Road, an FC spokesperson said. The victims belonged to the Sui Rifle Wing of FC and were engaged in maintenance of their vehicle at the time of the attack, FC spokesperson Khan Wasay told the media. Law enforcement agencies and rescue workers reached the site and cordoned the area. The injured were shifted to the Combined Military Hospital. Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri had condemned the attack. The incident happened one day after four policemen were gunned down in Quetta. On Tuesday, motorcycle-borne gunmen shot dead four policemen in separate targeted attacks. Gun and bomb attacks against police have spiked recently in the provincial capital. Over 30 policemen have been killed in the city this year alone, according to an official tally.
