LARKANA: Larkana Division Commissioner Muhammad Abbas Baloch, on Tuesday directed the district administration and officers to maintain cleanliness in the city for which emergency measures should be taken so that residents do not suffer. He was presiding over a meeting of the officers of various departments. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Commissioner Kashif Ali Tipu, Deputy Mayor Larkana Municipal Corporation and other officers of Public Health Engineering, Education Works Departments. Baloch directed that drainage system and street lightening should also be improved. The deputy mayor informed him that very soon, 400 new sanitation staff will be recruited. Baloch directed the engineers to speed up their works so that development schemes could be completed well in time, adding that no negligence in this connection will be tolerated and stern action will be taken against those, who will fail to deliver. He also directed them to plant more trees in the district to improve environment.
