MULTAN: Child Protection and Welfare Bureau (CPWB) reunited 1,499 missing children with their families during the last three years. Talking to media persons on Sunday, CPWB Media Coordinator Naveed Mukhtar said that the organisation had taken 1,550 missing beggars and stray child into custody during the last three years. He said that the organisation was working hard for the welfare of beggars and missing children and all basic facilities were being provided to these children. “The organisation had taken 314 kids into custody during the year 2014, 669 in 2015 and 540 in 2016 till now,” he added. However, 351 children were reunited with their families in 2014, 654 in 2015 and 494 kids have been reunited with their families in 2016 – 76 kids are still with the bureau and are being provided with food, education and health facilities to made them useful citizens.
