PESHAWAR: As many as 56,000 Afghan refugees have been repatriated to their county under the voluntary repatriation programme from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said UNHCR Spokesperson Duniya Aslam Khan on Sunday. While talking to media, the spokesperson said that 74,000 individuals have left for their areas in neighbouring Afghanistan. She informed that the repatriating refuges have been provided with facilities and assistance in UNHRC Voluntary Repatriation Centre. She informed that about 3,500 to 4,000 families are reporting for registration in the centre. The repatriating refugees were being provided four hundred dollars per person in the centre prior to their return, she said.
