KARACHI: A suspected target killer who belongs to a political party, has confessed to committing more than forty murders. According to details, this was disclosed in a report by the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) which had grilled an alleged target killer by the name of Muhammad Shakeel alias Baba. The report revealed that Shakeel was involved in at least 40 murders, which also included one in June 2013 when he shot a van driver in North Nazimabad and killed him. In April 2009, he committed the murder of two people affiliated with the Lyari gang-war in Bufferzone and Hyderi. In 2010, the suspect allegedly committed the murder of six Pathan workers with the aid of six accomplices in Nazimabad. In July 2012, he had shot to death a political worker named Safdar Baloch and in the same year, he killed two persons belonging to a banned outfit in Karachi’s Bufferzone area.
